This Privacy Policy explains how PinGrabber ("we", "us", or "our") handles your information when you use our Chrome Extension and related services.

1. Data Collection and Usage

PinGrabber is designed with your privacy in mind. We do not collect, store, or sell your personal data. Our extension operates locally within your browser to perform its core functions.

• Pinterest Data: We access the publicly visible elements on the Pinterest boards you actively browse to extract image URLs. This data is processed locally on your device for you to download or copy. We do not transmit this data to our servers.
• Storage: We use Chrome's local storage API solely to save your local preferences (such as light/dark theme preference and cached license state).

2. Third-Party Services

We use the following necessary third-party services to support the extension's features:

• Gumroad API: If you purchase a premium license, our extension communicates with the Gumroad API (api.gumroad.com) via background scripts exclusively to verify your license key. No personal browsing data is sent to Gumroad.

3. Permissions Explained

PinGrabber requires specific Chrome permissions to function properly. We only request permissions necessary for the core functionality:

• activeTab: Allows the extension to interact with the currently active Pinterest tab only when you explicitly click the extension icon to extract images.
• scripting: Used alongside activeTab to safely execute the local extraction scripts on the active Pinterest page.
• storage: Used to store your theme preference and license key locally on your device.
• clipboardWrite: Required for the "Copy URLs" feature to copy the extracted image links directly to your computer's clipboard.
• Host Permissions (*://*.pinterest.com/*, *://*.pinterest.co.uk/*, etc.): Required for the network requests that package the images into a ZIP file locally safely bypassing CORS restrictions.
• Host Permission (https://api.gumroad.com/*): Required exclusively to verify your Pro license key with our payment provider.

4. Data Retention

Because we do not transmit or store your personal data on our servers, there is no personal data retention. All extension data is stored locally on your device and is deleted if you uninstall the extension.

5. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may occasionally update this policy. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of the privacy policy. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
